The Magrata Family :: Temecula Family Photographer
September 27, 2009I feel truly honored when I am asked to take a family’s photo. That a family would let you in to their lives in such a special and meaningful way continues to leave me delighted. I feel even more honored when it is a family of a soldier. Even though I only spent a brief amount of time with this family, I can tell they are bonded by love and laughter. This shoot we did in the Santa Rosa Plateau had special meaning for this trio. Last week their husband and father deployed for Iraq. With brave faces, the Magrata family got dressed up and spent some of their last moments for a year together, stomping around a field with each other. It makes me such a proud and grateful American to have soliders and their families, like this, supporting our freedom and country. I can’t imagine having to say goodbye to anyone whom you love so much for a year or more at a time, and I try to never take their sacrifice for granted. I am so glad that I could help this family capture such a beautiful reminder of their love and strength, and service. Thank you Magrata family, we appreciate everything you do to protect our freedom, and the freedom of others.
