Looking back on my time at UC Davis, I can’t begin to even formulate the words together in a meaningful enough sentence to describe what it was like.  It was one of the best times of my life.  The campus was beautiful, the classes challenged me to grow into the person I am, and most of all I met some of the greatest friends I will ever have.  Now if you would have told me in high school that I would not only join a sorority, but be friends with “sorority girls” I would have told you that you were out of your mind.  My best friends in middle school were boys, and I kept that reputation in high school, with a select few female friends, I couldn’t even begin to comprehend the idea of living with a house full of girls.  But as college enhances you to broaden your experiences, I decided to join.  In my sorority (Kappa Alpha Theta rocks!) I met some amazing women that I not only will always call my sister, but my true friends.  A group of us lived in our Junior/Senior year, and we became in a word…. inseperatable.  These women were funny, bright, sweet, down for movie nights or a round at the bar, and always there when we needed one another… they were my family, and still are.  One of those exceptional women was Jen.

Jen is vivacious, outspoken, determined, brilliant, and funny.  As long as I knew Jen, I knew Glen!  They met while at Davis, and Glen loved to hang out with our crazy hallway group!  It seemed, even at the time, that they would be together forever.  We were right, because recently Glen made a very Davis-like decision (super smart), and asked Jen to be his wife!  These two are meant to be like PB&J.  When you are around them you feel how much they love each other.  It is one of those deep, never-ending, created on friendship kind of loves, and it just makes you smile to be around it!  I am so happy for the two of them, and cannot wait to capture their wedding and celebrate their love “Theta” style!  Here are some of my favorite shots from our day…

I am only certain of a few things.  Here it goes…. LOVE is Everything.  Next, the people who are in your life our there for a reason.  And last, there are not two people more deserving in this world to be parents then Lindsay and Chris.   This maternity shoot holds such special meaning for me that it is hard to hold back the tears of joy I feel as I write.  I have known Lindsay since high school, and we instantly knew we were meant to be best friends.  I have watched her grow from a free spirited, bubbly teenager, to a woman of grace, beauty and great faith.  Such a woman was only meant for a man as kind and loving as Chris.

About 5 months back we were all delighted at the news that Chris and Lindsay were expecting twins!  Then, one night, I received a message from Lindsay telling me to call her, because she had “unbelievable” news.  As her husband answered the phone he asked if I had heard the news, and I joked lovingly… “You guys found out it’s triplets… hahaha”.  Well to my surprise silence waited for me on the other end, and Chris confirmed that they were getting a wonderful blessing of 3 babies!  This pregnancy has been so tough on Lindsay, and she has pulled through each challenge glowing and positive.  There is no mama to be more in love with her little “limes” then Lindsay, and her and Chris are a true testament of Love and Faith!

I am so happy for my best friend, she has never looked more radiant or beautiful.  I can’t wait for Team Waite to complete their already pretty awesome team!!!  Lindsay is all about living in the moment of her pregnancy, enjoying each moment, good or bad… I think these are some of my most favorite images EVER!  Here’s a sneak peek…

It’s that time of year that all the mom’s wait for, and all the husbands’ dread… Holiday Picture time!  Each year I get people contacting me wanting to know my specials for the holiday season… well I am trying to be a “planner” this year, and announce them early!  This year we are offering a 1-2 hour shoot in the location of your choice, a password protected online gallery,  a $50 print credit, and 50 custom designed  5 x 7 folded, 5 x 7 flat, or  5 x 5 flat holiday cards all for $350.  You can add an additional pack of 25 cards on to your package for an additional $40.  Since I get into the holiday spirit about 4 months early, this is the lowest my packages go all year!  This year I am also offering a DVD with all the full resolution prints from your session for an additional $200.  Please contact me early as my availability does fill up fast for these sittings.  And because every blog without a picture is like peanut butter without its’ jelly… here is a shot to get you in the mood….
