Well we might not have left our hearts there, but we definitely let the city by the bay feel the love a lil’ this last weekend. Chris and I headed up north for a quick Memorial weekend getaway before the wedding season kicks into high gear. It was a fabulous weekend because we got to visit so many of our friends! I will be posting some of our city shots in a later post. On Saturday afternoon we met up with my most favorite roomie at the botanical gardens. Katie and I are sorority sisters, past roommates, and most importantly she is one of my best friends! I met John at my wedding, and I am so excited that she has met such a wonderful man! These two are bigger jokers then Chris and I (I know it is hard to believe)… but I was laughing to hard at some points that I couldn’t take pictures. Katie and John are so nice that they let me take some romantic pictures of them… I mean I couldn’t go to San Fran and not do a couples session!! Anyways we decided that we must see each other more… once a year is just not enough. I am also so very happy that Katie has found some one that makes her so happy! Here are some of my favorites…

It seems like everyone around us is having babies… and I could not be more excited!  The newest addition is BJ and Cori’s daughter Lil’ T.  On Saturday, they made the very long and warm trek to our house, where we spent a couple hours shooting Lil’ T and BBQing!  Of course there were some cocktails and games included!!  Lil’ T is such a happy & sweet baby!  BJ & Cori make such wonderful parents, it fit’s them so naturally.  They are probably one of the most most gorgeous families I have been lucky enough to shoot, and all the pic’s turned out amazing!  Lil’ T is a total hammy and so photogenic.  I can not wait to document Lil’ T’s life in pictures.  Chris and I are blessed to have such wonderful friends!  Here are some of my favorites…

 

It is very very RARE that we have a weekend with no wedding or kids, senior, family, engagement, friend, newborn shoots.  Chris planned a nice little Saturday for us in Catalina, right after we visited the home depot… I didn’t know if we’d have time… but…. hahaha.  Back to the post.  Catalina was so much fun, and it’s just what we needed… a day away!  Chris pulled me out of bed at 5:30am… too early, but somehow I managed to drag myself into the shower.  We headed over the mountain to Dana Point, where we barely caught the Catalina Express.  After a groggy hour transit time, we stepped onto the shore of Avalon where it was cold and gloomy.  Luckily for us as the day passed by the sun came through… and I was glad I decided to wear shorts and freeze that morning.  We were total tourists, and hit the inland Catalina tour where we saw some buffalo from about 1/2 a mile away, and then did the glass bottom boat.  Fish and kelp have never looked so cool!  We decided we will visit again in August when the water is warmer and we won’t need a dry suit to snorkel!  We stopped at Mi Casita mexican restaurant for dinner, and had some delicious drinks!  I won’t lie… we hit all the hot spots and shops so with 2 hours left in Catalina before our ship sailed… there was only one thing to do… drink and take pictures… but we had so much fun!  A big big thank you to my hubby… I loved it!  Here are some of my shots from the day…
