On Friday night Chris and I gassed up our trustworthy Prius and headed out East. After a REALLY long drive out to Arizona, we finally arrived in Parker, where I proved to myself that I could make it 106 miles without having to pull over, there’s something so painful about mind over matter. This trip was the definition of short and sweet. Short because we only stayed there over night, and Sweet because not only did we get to our best friends Leah & Trevor, but we also got to do Chris & Alyssa’s maternity shoot. I love Chris & Alyssa, they are the most adorable couple, and when you get to know them you just know they are meant to be together. They are expecting Lil’ W in the next two months and they can’t wait. Alyssa is a STUNNING mom-to-be, her bump is “picture perfect”! This lil’ guy is 99.9% likely to wind up being a firefighter just like his daddy. Alyssa and Chris were so patient with all the pictures, and were up to having me move all their furniture around. I think every shot I took I made the classic “awwww” sound. They are just the cutest couple who are so in love with each other, and their lil’ W. I can’t wait for them to be a family, and to photograph this trio! Here are some of my fav’s from the day….

The flowers are blooming (and blooming), the weather is sunny and warm (a lil’ too warm too soon), and the animals are out and about, it must be… WEDDING SEASON! (You thought I would say Spring, huh).  I love wedding season, because it means 5 months of getting to spend Saturdays at weddings, taking fun pictures with my amazingly talented hubby, and eating lots of good food!  This summer it means shooting 3 of my friends weddings, and getting to road trip to San Luis for my sorority gran lil’ and to Texas for a friend from high school!  It really doesn’t get any cooler than that, well maybe!  Candace and Eric’s wedding should top all the cakes (literally).  They are getting married this September and I am so excited to second shoot for Chris.  This wedding sounds like it will be amazing, and the best part of all this couple ROCKS!  They were so down to Earth, and fun, adventurous, and they love Thai food… does it get any better?  It DOES… wait till you see how stunningly gorgeous both these guys are… seriously A&F material all the way!

I am so thrilled that Lindsey and her mom Bonnie asked me to take some pictures of Lindsey for her Myspace Music Page! She is a phenom musician! I listened to her music the other day, and I can’t get enough! That is why I am officially introducing her as the next big thing on my blog! That’s right you heard it here first! She is a rad, rad, rad chica! That’s the bonus of my job that I get to work with amazing people on a daily basis. At 17… she is more mature, sweet, and has her life together then some 30 year olds I know! We headed out to one of my favorite places to shoot… the Salton Sea. She was so much fun to shoot, and up for anything… not to mention my camera loved her! I can’t wait to shoot Lindsey again!
