I was told with purpose to not post these until after the lovely, smart, and very talented Lauren had sent out her senior anouncements.  So now,  2 months post graduation, I have placed these photos on my blog in hopes that all her mailing is complete, and so that I can boast about what an amazing woman Lauren has grown up to be.  In just a few short weeks, Miss Lauren will be leaving the familiarity of a Southern California life, and will head North a couple hundred miles to the central coast.  There she will attend Cal Poly SLO, study business, and make memories and friends she will cherish for the rest of her life.

It wasn’t very long ago that this photographer was a precocious 12 year old good, who wanted a sister.  Instead I had a brother, and my “Aunt” Sherry also had two boys.  I thought that was it. It was me and the boys for ever.  Until one day we got a phone call that told us that my aunt was having a girl!!  Twelve years her senior did not bother me at all, I was getting a little more estrogen in our make-shift family!  I knew that Lauren would be born on my birthday in January, however hard my mom and aunt tried to convince me of the unlikeliness of that occuring.  I still knew.  On January 17th, 1992 Lauren came into the world, and changed all of our lives forever.  Lauren is the little sister I always wanted, and I hold a special place in my heart for her.  It makes me feel so proud, and very old, that she has grown into an incredible woman.  She is my kindred spirit, and I will miss her while she is at school, but I know she will do amazing things, see amazing sights, and change the world for the better.

Did I mention how stunning she is?  I will eventually convince her to model… she is smokin in the photos, and I can’t wait for you to see ‘em!

Recently, Chris and I met up with Mitchell and his mom Danette in Orange to get some portrait shots done.  About a month ago we did a shoot with his sister, the very lovely Bre.  Mitchell is so much fun and very sweet, just like his big sis.  He is so intense, and such a hard working young man and student.  We have a feeling that he will accomplish HUGE things in this world!  He is even teaching himself guitar, and made the basketball team.   We can not wait to see all the amazing things he accomplishes over the next 4 years in high school.  We are so glad we got to spend the afternoon with this wonderful family again!!  I love these shots of Mitchell, he rocks…

Recently Chris and I had the honor of meeting Bre and her mom in San Diego to capture some Senior Portraits.  I felt like I had known Bre and her mom forever, and if I was 12 years younger, Bre totally would have been my new best friend!!  She is such a beautiful young woman, with a HUGE talent, and the sweetest spirit!  Her laugh totally makes you laugh!  She is the kind of girl who makes a room (or Balboa Park) light up when she walks in it!  We had such a great time spending the afternoon running around Balboa Park, and Bre does a pretty mean Ricky Bobby impression.  Bre is very involved in theater, and we know someday we will see her name in big bright lights!  Congratulations Bre on your senior year, go out and conquer the world with that smile!!
